American Experts Will Consult Kharkiv Rescuers

July 19, 2017,

Guliani Security and Safety (GSS) specialists are on a visit in Kharkiv.

A delegation from New York has spent the whole day at the training base of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine on July 18. GSS CEO John Huvane noted its diversity and profound training of future rescuers.

It’s the Huvane’s second trip to Kharkiv. During his first visit in spring, together with his colleagues, he studied the work of law enforcement officers.

Now, experts, who developed a security plan for the American Disneyland, will analyze how the relevant bodies respond to emergency situations in Kharkiv. Therefore, after getting acquainted with the university, the delegation will also go to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv region.

GSS CEO stressed that American professionals would share best practices with the city, and noted the importance of the interaction of local authorities with all services that are responsible for the safety of people.

John Huavane said that they had a bitter experience in the USA like September 11 and Hurricane Katrin. According to him, while people are trapped in the first hours after the incident, it is the local authorities that must ensure their safety and provide them with everything needed.
